Ryan Coyle is a highly experienced landscape designer with over 20 years of experience in the industry. He is known for his ability to think creatively and tailor landscape and architecture designs to fit specific styles and projects. In addition to his professional achievements, Ryan is also a devoted husband and father of three boys. He serves as the praise and worship leader for his local church, showcasing his passion for music and spirituality.
Ryan holds a degree in Landscape Architecture from Purdue University, which has provided him with a strong foundation in the field. He is currently Vice President of the Indianapolis Landscape Association, demonstrating his commitment to the industry and his desire to contribute to its growth and development. Ryan is also a member of several other business groups throughout the state, further highlighting his dedication to networking and staying connected within the professional community.

Dylan Coles is an experienced designer who has worked on projects ranging from steel structures and product designs to historical surveying. His versatility in design software enables him to approach any project with confidence. Whether it involves plan drawings or detailed 3D renderings, he delivers high-quality results that stand out.
Dylan’s passion for building started early. At just five years old, he began assembling LEGO sets and then taking them apart to create something entirely new. While earning his bachelor’s degree in Comprehensive Design at Indiana University, he deepened both his love for design and his client-focused mindset, learning that a successful project starts with truly understanding the client’s vision.
Outside of work, Dylan enjoys lifting weights, running, and spending time with his girlfriend, friends, and family. Constructing LEGO sets is, and always will be, an interest of his.

Roy Western has been a part of the landscape industry for the past 26 years. His career began as a hardscape installer, gaining hands-on experience in creating beautiful outdoor spaces. After 10 years in the field, Roy transitioned to hardscape sales, working for a local distributor, providing support to other landscape companies in the area.
With his extensive knowledge and expertise, Roy then made a move to the construction industry, collaborating with local landscape contractors to help Artisan Outdoor Craftsman build exceptional teams for their clients. He has a passion for the outdoor living industry and he takes pride in delivering top-notch customer service.
In addition to his professional achievements, Roy has also been actively involved in the Indianapolis Landscape Association. This involvement allows him to stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and connect with fellow professionals in the field.
When he's not busy transforming landscapes, Roy enjoys spending time on the golf course, playing a round or two with his friends.

Brian Sams is an experienced residential and commercial carpenter specialist with over 17 years of expertise in carpentry and remodeling. After honing his skills in the field, Brian transitioned to a role as a retail store manager at Lowes, where he dedicated 8 years of his career. During his time at Lowes, Brian's exceptional commitment to community involvement earned him the philanthropy award for his outstanding contributions. In addition, he was recognized as the Community Leader of the Year with his involvement for work done at Wernle Childhood Development through Lowes.
In2021, Brian joined the Artisan Outdoor Craftsman team as lead project manager, showcasing his passion for craftsmanship and attention to detail. Through his hard work and dedication, Brian quickly rose through the ranks and is currently acting as the Operations Manager. Known for his kind heart and willingness to go the extra mile, Brian is always ready to lend a helping hand wherever it's needed and lead a great team.
Outside of work, Brian enjoys playing golf, spending quality time with his family, and indulging in his hobbies of collecting coins and musical art.

Dawson Sloan is a dedicated husband and father of a little girl and a boy. With a passion for carpentry, he has been working in the field for 8 years, honing his skills and expertise. In addition to his carpentry experience, Dawson also served as a reserve police officer for the Albany Police Department for 5 years, demonstrating his commitment to serving and protecting his community.
In 2022, Dawson joined the Artisan Outdoor Craftsman team, where he initially started as a hands-on carpenter, swinging a hammer in the field. However, his exceptional skills and leadership qualities were quickly recognized, leading to his transition into the office in early 2023 as the Director of Residential Sales. In this role, Dawson utilizes his extensive knowledge of carpentry to guide and support the sales team, ensuring that Artisan Outdoor Craftsman continues to provide top-notch services to their clients. Dawson has moved to the role of Project Manager and ensures that your projects run smoothly and efficiently with the quality expected from Artisan Outdoor Craftsman.
Outside of work, Dawson enjoys spending quality time with his kids and indulging in his favorite hobby, golfing. His dedication to his family and his craft make him a valuable asset to both his workplace and his loved ones.

Mitch’s passion for craftsmanship has shaped his journey in construction and sales. His love for woodworking began at just 10 years old, spending countless hours in a woodshop where he first honed his skills. By 16, his talent had already earned recognition, winning Grand Champion at the Elkhart County Fair and first place at the Indiana State Fair for a handcrafted workbench.
Throughout his career, Mitch has carried that same dedication and attention to detail into sales, project management, and construction. With decades of experience in residential remodeling, office furniture design, sales, and business development, he brings a wealth of expertise to his role in Residential Sales. His commitment to honesty, integrity, and customer satisfaction has made him a trusted leader in the industry.
When he’s not helping customers bring their visions to life, Mitch can be found in his workshop crafting his next piece, cycling, or enjoying time on the water with family and friends.

Project Coordinator
Michael Smith is a graduate of Ball State University, where he studied Criminology and Psychology. However, he soon discovered that his true passion lay elsewhere. He found his calling in traveling the country and installing commercial greenhouses and solar panel farms. With his expertise and dedication, he quickly rose to the position of foreman in his company.
In 2021, Michael seized an opportunity to join the Artisan team. He accepted the role of Project Coordinator and has been thriving ever since. Michael thoroughly enjoys working with people and finds fulfillment in keeping the crews organized and efficient. During his free time, Michael indulges in his hobbies. He particularly enjoys working on small woodworking projects and experimenting with his smoker. His favorite creation so far has been a mouthwatering ribeye steak.

Project Manager
Tim Duffin is a dedicated husband and father of three who has had a diverse and impressive career. After working in the Tile industry, he joined the Army in 2007. Tim served in the esteemed 82nd Airborne. From 2010 to 2016, he was assigned to the highly respected 7th Special Forces Group, where he faced numerous challenges and demonstrated his unwavering commitment to his duties. Tim was later transferred to the 5th Special Forces Group, serving as a senior non-commissioned officer for Task Force Jordan in their fight against ISIS. His contributions to the mission were invaluable, and his leadership made a significant impact.
After an illustrious military career, Tim retired in 2020 and decided to pursue a career in the civilian sector. He joined a local contractor as a construction superintendent, where he brought his organizational and leadership skills to the table. He later transitioned to a mechanical contractor, taking on the role of project manager and further showcasing his versatility and adaptability.
In 2023, Tim made an exciting career move and joined Artisan Outdoor Craftsman, where he continues to excel and make a positive impact. With his wealth of experience, dedication, and strong work ethic, Tim is an asset to any team he is a part of and we are proud to have him serving as Project Manager at Artisan Outdoor Craftsman.

Shop Manager
Scott Husted was born and raised in Springfield, Ohio. He developed a passion for carpentry at a young age and pursued it further by obtaining a certification in carpentry. In 2018, he decided to move to Indianapolis to explore new opportunities in the construction industry.
Upon arriving in Indianapolis, Scott joined a local construction contractor and gained valuable experience working on various projects. His dedication and skills caught the attention of Artisan Outdoor Craftsman, and in 2021, he joined their team as a field worker. In this role, Scott played a crucial part n building decks and other structures, showcasing his expertise in carpentry.
Due to his exceptional performance and attention to detail, Scott was promoted to the position of shop and yard manager at Artisan Outdoor Craftsman. In this role, he is responsible for gathering all the necessary materials for the crew on-site, ensuring that the jobs run smoothly and efficiently.
